Finding Inspiration
Working with vintage or antique metal brings me joy and drives my creative soul. So whether it's a penny, a piece of wire, a vintage silver tray, or antique sterling silver flatware, you are buying a unique piece of jewelry. My passion is to continually come up with new designs. It can be a simple twist on a long time favourite or something entirely new.

From May to October, you will find me most Saturdays at the Pender Island Market at the Community Hall.
During the late fall and winter months, I’ll be there sporadically—so keep an eye on my posts on Facebook and Instagram!
Come say hi—I’d love to see you there.

About me & my jewelry

I love creating.
I always have a design emerging in my mind. I am fortunate to have spent most of my work life in a creative environment. I do, however, spend a great deal of time in front of my computer. So I love to take a break from the screen and create some jewelry.

Most of the metal I work with is repurposed.
So whether it's a penny, a piece of wire, a vintage silver tray, or antique sterling silver flatware, you are buying a unique piece of jewelry. On this website are photos of my current pieces. My online store is currently unavailable so if you see something you would like to purchase, please be in touch via email - or - follow me on Facebook to see some of my most recent designs. Thanks! Or if you are on Pender Island on Saturday morning, please come to the farmers market (located at the Community Hall) to say hello.
Caring for copper (and silver).
Does Copper (Brass or Silver) Tarnish?
Yes – copper, brass, and silver do tarnish over time due to exposure to air, moisture, and skin oils. But the good news? It’s incredibly easy to bring them back to their original shine with a simple kitchen staple: ketchup.
How to Clean Tarnished Copper Jewelry with Ketchup:
In the photo below, you’ll see my own necklace that I intentionally let tarnish for several months. To clean it:
-
Apply a small blob of ketchup directly onto the tarnished metal.
-
Rub it onto the metal until you see the original colour reappear. (it will only take a few seconds)
-
Rinse with warm water.
-
Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
-
Finish by buffing with a polishing cloth – and voilà, good as new!
It’s the combination of vinegar and salt in the ketchup that helps break down the tarnish – no harsh chemicals needed.
For Silver:
While ketchup works well on copper and brass, for silver I personally recommend Twinkle Silver Polish. I’ve tried many silver cleaners, and Twinkle remains my favourite for its ease of use and consistently beautiful results.
